The fabric seats are in good condition even. How did this ever end up parked on my street? Shame it’s missing the louvers from the rear windshield.

I’m sitting outside a brewery right now. There’s a Mazda 6-something-6 here that’s straights our of 1987. It looks fine but I guess it needs something, so I know how you feel:

I think Kinja ate your photo. Regardless what it’s probably missing is the Ford Taurus emblem. I think the 626 and the Taurus were the same car if my memory is correct.
If it isn’t I’m sure I’ll find out here in a hurry.

Oh whoa that’s not what I was thinking of by more than a decade.
I can only assume we’re seeing the cars of Cuban immigrants who got here in the 80's, bought cars, and refuse to allow them to die, out of habit.

Yeah, I was surprised to see it: I’m 31, and haven’t seen a 626 like that in at least a decade.

Come to Seattle :) I saw two of them last week, one a pre-CHMSL model. Old cars live on in the PNW.

And still on blue plates, so it has been kept active. Must be a labor of love.
I have no data and I am too lazy to look it up, I think these were MY 82-83 only.

It did have Oregon plates, so it traveled quite a long way to get to Virginia.

No doubt those are on every other corner in Portlandia.

Wow cool! I have never seen a hatchback version of this car before other than the VW dasher

I thought it was a Scirocco at first and then had no idea what I was looking at until the badge.

There’s always something cool about classic VWs
